I'm outsourced to a large ICT integrator. Company policy kind of forces us to use a company laptop. In my case, it's a HP Compaq nc6120. This means that the Dell Inspiron 6000 I got from my employer isn't used, professionally. At home, I installed Ububutunuttubunuttu Linux on it on a separate partition and used it as a development machine, since it's faster than most of my other boxes (don't ask). A few days ago, one of my co-workers (real one, not customer co-worker) asked me if I could lend him my laptop. His hard disk crashed and his employer doesn't have the laptop policy. I just now realized I didn't sync all of the information I needed from my Dell. I forgot to take some database dumps... which means I can't get any real (personal coding bla bla) work done :( I can still use my other other laptop (don't ask) but no recent database = no point in doing updates. Guess documentation will have to do.
