Each year, for the past 20 or so years, a 4 day festival is held in the small town of Werchter. I live about 10 minutes away (on a normal day). A lot of popular, international artists perform. Tickets were sold out weeks in advance. Since a few years, there's a one day festival on the same site, a week later. It's targetted at a more mature audience. It isn't as popular as the 4 day brother but it's lots of fun! This year, it featured the following artists: Arsenal, Roxy Music, Simple Minds, Simply Red, Sting and Bryan Adams. Each artist has about a 90 minute slot (give or take an encore or 2). My girlfriend has her leg cast so she was confined to a wheelchair. Fortunatly, there was a special platform so we could still see. Awesome performances!
