At one of my recent setups, I needed to install MS Office on a Windows PC but had no CD drives on that machine. I mounted the Office CD on a local linux machine and scp'ed everything from it on the Windows box. The MS Office CD contains at least 2 hidden files that the setup needs. Those 2 files are not visible on the linux box. I ended up finding another Windows box WITH CD drive to get all the files copied.
