I've been browsing through job ads most of the day and came across some really uhm general ones.One listed the following requirements.
Platforms: Unix, Linux and Windows
Application development framework: J2EE, Microsoft .NET Framework
Programming Languages: Java, C#, PHP, Perl
Internet Client: HTML, DHTML, XML, JavaScript, XSLT, XSL, Schema, ...
Internet Server: ASP.NET, J2EE, XML, XSL, Web Services, ...
Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, ...
I applied for it anyway... My skills are not THAT bad but I don't match ALL those requirements :)

More than once I've seen ads like that where they're advertising for "junior" programmers. That always amuses me.
