The city of Leuven decided it was about time the library had a new library-on-wheels bus. They asked my employer to provide the required IT uhm thingies. We ended up installing a linux box with GPRS PC-card so the users could check their books out in real-time. They also had the forementioned barcode scanners and a ticket printer. Officially it wont be launched until next week but yesterday, the city council wanted to take a look. It all turned out quite nice...
