Lasagna

Pfew... I need more free time. Work is killing me. Anyway, I got all the ingredients to make an excellent lasagna tonight. I'm going over to a close friends' house and cook. She agreed to get the boo..uhm drinks. For a few reasons, I feel bad about not being able to go see "Matrix Reloaded" at a local frat screening... but I have my prioritities and there is no way I'm cancelling.

Saturday is Quentin Tarantino day.... I hope to catch Kill Bill (parte un).

Lasagna

You can't make an excellent lasagna in one day.

You need to cook it, then chill it for a day or two, then reheat it, so all the seasonings and flavors blend.

A one day lasagna can't compare to this!

Well, we never had any complaints so far. My co-workers were complaining about me using pasata instead of peeled tomatoes. I admit reheated lasagna is pretty yummi as well...

Oh, don't get me wrong

I don't mean that fresh made lasagna is bad .

I mean that lasagna, like beef stew or chili, needs to marinate for a day or so, after the initial cooking, so that the flavor transcends the bounds of normal food taste, to become the sublime mouth-watering treat we all love to devour!
