Well.. my first day at work is over. It turned out to be quite hectic for a monday. I spent most of the day on-site to resolve an issue with serial boards. The customer had a b0rked Specialix board and he wanted it fixed. Ofcourse Specialix is deprecated and everything was taken over by Perle (no, I'm not making these names up). The power supply apparently just fscked up and it probably damaged the board as well (since there were burn marks). We decided to use a Moxa board instead but getting that installed properly on a RH7 box without kernel sources is quite a pain.... and YES, RH7 is the release where gcc is b0rked.
We had lunch at a greek restaurant... always great food when boss pays :)
Although the blonde was fake, she was nice...
