Yesterday, another guy from #cgi said he'd send me a book. Happy Happy Joy Joy. My list is getting pretty short so I headed to Amazon and set up a wishlist. Any books worth buying these days? I already have the obvious ORA ones that were missing from my collection, also added MMM, Pragmatic Programmer and Code Complete. Any suggestions? Recommended material? Any non-technical books are OK too ofcourse.

Well, in the past 5 years on #cgi, I actually only got one book (see journal somewhere last week). I've had dozens of people telling me they'd send me stuff but most of the time it turns out nowhere. We'll see how it goes this time.

Perhaps check out books.perl.org and see what else strikes your fancy =)
One good method of finding interesting books is to go to amazon and find wishlists of the Rich and Famous - Dave Cross, Randal, etc.
Personally, I've got a wishlist on amazon uk, two on amazon (long story) and one in my wiki (which is still being played with, hence the weird url)
