A while ago, I wrote a patch for Text::Tabs that fixes the performance problem of expand() for single strings with lots of newlines.
I mailed the a benchmark containing the Text::Tabs code and my replacement routine to muir@idiom.com on Apr 10, but got no reaction whatsoever. On Jul 05, two weeks ago, I sent him a reminder, asking if he’d had time to look at the code. Again I haven’t gotten an answer to it so far.
There are two tickets in the RT queue for this module, one from 6 and another from 12 months ago. On the other hand, his CPAN directory has releases from as late as March, April and May this year. So he can’t have disappeared completely.
Does anyone know if he has an alternate email? Could someone else get him in touch with me?
Update: resolved, and my code has been added to Text::Tabs.
