Reddit is lamer than I thought

Reddit is way more broken than I thought it was. Someone posted this piece of crap (see this link for why I think it's crap) and it gets +10.

Really, some people must be voting things up way too easily.

Expectations

I think your expectations about the voters on Reddit are wrong, er, unrealistic. As I gather, people tend to upvote something they find interesting, which does not necessarily mean it is good quality code. Likewise, they downvote stuff they find boring.

Your own comments are doubly interesting, as apparently you took the time to see how it ticks, and analyze what you think is good and bad about it. Which is highly commendable, but far more than you may expect of the average person in the Reddit audience.

You don’t say!

A whole 10 upvotes?

(A good submission tends to clock in upwards of 150 or so upvotes. Numbers in the 300s are a common sight.)
