if it's Tuesday, this must be Boston

I think I've figured out why I enjoy traveling. It brings a lovely simplicity to life. When you're traveling, nothing matters except making the next connection and reaching your final destination. Your day is planned out weeks in advance, and there's nothing left but to follow the pattern. Food comes to you, drinks come to you. You can work peacefully for hours at a time with no interruptions.

Working From Home

I make the same argument for working from home. Unless you have kids, pets, or a noisy roommate banging pots and pans or doing laundry at the unimaginable hour of 11 am, you can work peacefully and undisturbed for hours on end.

...in your pajamas!

I wish. There's always something else to do at home: gardening, washing, grooming the cat. Actually being able to sit down and get on with stuff is quite hard.

Yeah, that's what I find. It's easier to get work done at home than in an office (only one co-worker and a cat to distract me, instead of dozens of co-workers). But still plenty of distraction.

Maybe what I really need is a sensory deprivation chamber with a computer in it. :)
