Neato. I just got my first copy of Perl 6 & Parrot Essentials (2nd edition). It's nice not to have to think about it anymore. :)

But...

When do you start work on the third edition?

You evil, evil man. ;)

I'm actually hoping this will be the last edition. Maybe one more edition around Dec. 2005 if it's needed.

So I suppose that makes the proposed publishing schedule look something like this:

Dec 05 - Perl and Parrot Essentials 3rd ed.

July 06 - Perl 6: A Developers Notework

Jan. 07 - Upgrading to Perl 6

Mar. 08 - Perl 6 Evangelicized: Apocalypses, Synopsis and Exegeses (joint publication with Paulist Press)

Jun. 08 - Perl 6: The Definitive Guide by Wall, aka Camel 4

Oct. 08 - Perl 6 cookbook

Dec. 08 - Parrot Hacks

Jan. 09 - Perl 6: The Missing Manual

Mar. 09 - Head First Perl 6

June. 09 - Parrot: The Missing Manual

Sept. 09 - Perl 6 in a Nutshell

Oct. 09 - Parrot Pocket Reference

June. 10 - Perl 7 Essentials
Which of those will you be participating in?

I am sure the following will be released faster than the Camel 4:
  • Perl6 Black Book
  • Perl6 For Dummies
  • Perl6 in 21 days
