wishlists

Through a dreadfully mundane bit of technology I have now googlized yet another part of my life. Namely, Christmas shopping. I no longer ask people what they want (always awkward), or spend hours wandering through stores trying to find something they'll like (okay, I never did, I hate shopping and tend to go for the "snatch, buy, run" method). Now I type their name in a text box, hit "Submit", scan a list of results, and click "Buy" on one of them. Done. The present arrives at their door already gift wrapped. I don't even have to remember their current address.

Life is full of simple pleasures. :)

One Problem

Not everyone remembers to update their Amazon, or wherever, address. It's not so good when you find it was received by some person who now lives where your friend used to live =)

Good point.

So far I've only had to verify the city/state, which is usually displayed to the gift buyer. I guess my family and friends move alot more than most people. :)
