The new Perl::Dist releases now contain a far improved standard of testing than the previous versions, which should more-effectively catch changes to CPAN modules that cascade into the Strawberry Perl build process.
Unfortunately, testing this and catching changes from the last 3 months has taken somewhat longer than expected. While the full set (5.8.8, 5.10.0 and Portable) of build modes now pass for Vanilla (the stripped down experimental core release) testing of full Strawberry builds is not proceeding quickly enough to meet the release date of the 13th.
So I'm pushing back the release date until the 20th.
This also has the secondary benefit of providing a little more time for new versions of CPAN.pm and CPANPLUS to release, so that the full set of configure_requires-aware toolchain modules can be included for the first time (FINALLY solving the Module::Build situation and several other toolchain problems).
