O'Reilly posted its call for participation for The Perl Conference 4.0. The conference organizers are looking for proposals for tutorial programs, conference presentations, and refereed papers. A list of potential topics and complete guidelines for submission are on the site. Refereed paper abstracts are due January 15, 2000, and all other proposals are due February 1, 2000. If the nation's power grid is still down, the dates may be postponed.
For the second straight year, the conference will be held in beautiful Monterey, California, and will be a part of the larger Open Source Software Convention. It will be held a month earlier than in previous years, on Monday through Thursday, July 17-20, 2000.
