There's a whole lotta patching going on. Sarathy has posted
5.005_63 (the latest development release for the upcoming
5.6 release). They reportedly have fork working under Win32,
File::Find now follows symlinks, and you can write
open(my $fh...) to get a lexically scoped filehandle
created automagically for you. See the announcement for more information. Remember,
this is a development release. Caveat Porter.
