Jeff Bisbee writes "After a long hiatus, SouthFlorida.pm meetings are going to start happening regularly again. The meeting will be both technical and social in nature (bring you laptop if you have one)

We'll be meeting on 7/17 from 7pm until whenever (they close at 11:30pm)

        Undergrounds Coffeehaus
        2743 E. Oakland Park Blvd.
        Oakland Park, FL 33311

Some topics that we may cover...

  • POE, documenting/testing POE actually
  • memcached
  • Perl::Critic
  • Unit testing and coverage with Devel::Cover
  • Packaging code for CPAN
  • Module::Starter
  • ExtUtils::MakeMaker vs Module::Build vs Module::Install
  • Possibly writing unit tests and/or documentation for HTTP::Client::Parallel — brain child of Adam Kennedy and both Marlon and I have hacked on.
  • Javascript — I've been doing A LOT of application javascript (not dom/touchy feely widgets stuff) and have a lot of good practical advice on creating modular, maintainable code

The whole point of these meetings is to get together and share idea about a common interest we all share.

With that said, if you've come to a meeting in the past and felt like you didn't get anything out of it, I suggest you give it another shot.
