brian_d_foy on 2007-07-09T14:48:00

The following groups have just been created:

  • Szczecin.pm - leader is Robert Olejnik
  • Kiev.pm - leader is Serg Gulko
  • The Woodlands.pm - leader is Todd Rinaldo
  • Ithaca.pm - leader is Beth Skwarecki
  • Thames Valley.pm - leader is Rafiq Ismail

Remember, you can start a group too!

TheWoodlands.pm

It's listed under USA but not Texas. Is that a mistake or on purpose? :)

Ithaca.pm

Same thing with this one, it's listed under USA but not New York.

I guess it's a mistake. I'll try to spot it and fix it. Thanks :-)

Very nice and you learned something in the process. Next time you'll know how to set them up so that they appear correctly in the listings. :-)

Thames Valley

I'd file the Thames Valley PM under "United Kingdom" rather than "UK" on the Europe page - just to avoid confusion.

Thanks.

We had our first meeting this month and Raf is hoping to arrange another one next month. I gave my Perl Intro talk which went down quite well considering the audience knew more about Perl than the talk was intended for.

While my local LUG is very good, quite a few Perl users, it's always nice to have a more focused group. While I can give introductory level Perl talks at my LUG, I can't really go into anything deep without alienating most of the audience. A seriously technical talk is more suitable for a PM.
