The Perl 6 design team met by phone on 18 April 2007. Larry, Damian, Allison, and chromatic attended. These are the minutes.
Damian:
- released versions 2 and 3 of the Perl 6 POD parsing modules
- lots of feedback
- version 4 should be much, much better and out today or tomorrow
- lots of improvements
- otherwise putting together my summer travel schedule for the US and Europe
Larry:
- is there a hackathon around YAPC::NA?
- I didn't see anything right off the bat
- trying to figure out my itinerary
Allison:
- I haven't seen any explicit plans
Damian:
- also saw myself described as the evil half of Larry
- that would explain a lot
Larry:
- maybe I could stand on my head
c:
Damian:
- still hope to review the remaining synopses
Larry:
- trying to figure out my itinerary
- Audrey's showing up on my doorstep on July 1
- we're heading off to a workshop on functional programming in Iceland
- that's just before OSCON
- other than taxes, worked some on the grammar and then on the specs
- clarified various things people brought up
- my grammar had unless without else for several months
Damian:
- I was absolutely thrilled to see it
Larry:
- can't think of anything majorly earth shaking apart from that
c:
- I fixed some bugs in Parrot
- I added some features to Parrot
- I applied some patches to Parrot
- Parrot, Parrot, Parrot
Allison:
- I spent a lot of time on bugfixes and closing tickets
- the most fun I had was debugging a resizable boolean array PMC
- it had some very obscure math errors in calculating its storage
- otherwise trying to work on low-level PMC design
- that's why I figured closing that bug was a good task
- still haven't heard from OSI on the license
- need to follow up and make sure there's progress
