I have to say that I had read 5 or 6 State of the Onions (just the plain transcript) before ever seeing him give one in person, and from the plain transcript he always came across as a bit of a lunatic.
In retrospect, I know this was because most of his humour is visual-based, and so any plain text transcript fails to capture the talk.
It's nice to see that this year he made it SO difficult to provide a transcript "This is a photo of my daughter" that it finally has the slides in there as well.
I have to say it's about time, and I'd really like to see some of the older ones again, this time with the other half of the talk (i.e. the slides).

All the ones I've seen, they've had the slides, too. Huh.
