Perlcast Interviews with Randal Schwartz

Josh McAdams writes "Perlcast interviews Randal Schwartz. Randal is an owner of Stonehenge Consulting and author of countless (okay, so I'm sure someone could count them) Perl books, magazine articles, and web pages. We talk about numerous topics including Stonehenge, Perlisms attributed to him, and what he sees as exciting in Perl today."

Slip of the tongue?

I believe that Randal had a slip of the tongue about 4 minutes into the interview. He said that he worked with brian d foy, Dave and one of brian's coworkers as co-founders of the Perl Monks organization. I think he meant Perl Mongers.

Not what I meant but in that respect, I am associated with Perl Monks also. http://www.perlmonks.org/index.pl?node_id=155876

Many of the people with accounts here also have accounts at Perl Monks.

I did indeed. That's what I get for trying to run-length-encode my responses.

Likewise, I'm assuming that the repeated references to "Maple" are meant to be about "Mason"...

Maypole, not Maple.

Enjoyable

It took me most of the day finally hear the entire interview at work yesterday. I think that Randal and Josh handled the interview quite well. I really liked it. If you haven't listened yet, what's stopping you? You may learn a thing or two about Randal or the Perl community that you didn't already know.
