Following shortly a new release on the 5.8 maintenance track, here is an updated version of Perl 5.6. Its purpose is to fix the build issues that appeared since Perl 5.6.1 was released, due to new compilers and systems. A few modules were updated as well. See the perldelta for the complete list.
