PerlBugAthon

cwest writes "There are currently around 1450 open tickets in the perlbug database. Many of these are years old. Others are already resolved in current versions of perl. Some might not be bugs at all.

The goal of the PerlBugAthon is to reduce the number of open tickets by 500. We have a week to make it happen. The kickoff meeting is Sunday, July 6, 2 p.m. PDT (GMT-7) at the OSCON hotel lobby.

This event is not only for OSCON attendees, but rather a distributed bug squashing effort. Onyx Neon is sponsoring the PerlHackAthon, donating $1 to The Perl Foundation for every bug closed.

Thanks go to Robert Spier for organizing this event."

From a distance?

How can we join in spirit, ensuring that the bugs are counted as part of the squashathon, if we won't be at OSCOM?

For those playing along at home, now is the time to submit all those bugs you've keeping to yourselves because you're too shy to submit them (preferably the easy ones ;).
