Indy Singh writes "White Camel Award recipient and Seattle.pm founder Tim Maher will be presenting two talks on May 19th to Toronto.pm. In one he'll show shell users and programmers how to go beyond the limitations of grep, sed, and awk with simple Perl replacements, including a few pithy one-liners. In the second, he'll discuss his new module, Shell::POSIX::Select, that implements the shell's select loop for Perl through source filtering. These talks are 'sneak previews' of his upcoming YAPC presentations and Manning book."
