datetime.perl.org

autarch writes "I just wanted to let people know about the new datetime.perl.org site, which is the official home for the Perl DateTime project. Right now it has some information about the project, links to date/time related resources on the web, and some guidelines for developers interested in contributing to the DateTime project.

In the future, we'll be adding a FAQ, and maybe some online calendar calculations. Of course, suggestions for other content are welcome."

Great design

I like the design of the web site. Very nice. -- (Where's the list of fortunes?) -- (There's a minor bug in the css : the syntax color:"#000000"; is not valid and thus the "a" and "a:hover" classes don't work. And you can probably improve the usability of the "a.menu" class.)

Lovely site, looks good. A link to the mailing list archives would be really neat though.

Reefknot?

johnseq on 2003-03-31T13:03:00

What's the relation between the datetime site and the reefknot project? Is there any?

Re:Reefknot?

autarch on 2003-03-31T16:26:34

There's really not any link. The Reefknot project is, um, sleeping, and has been for a while. Conceivably, the Reefknot folks would be able to make use of some of the different DateTime modules if they wanted to do so.

For the most part, the Reefknot people have been absorbed into real life, unfortunately. Those that are still involved have moved their efforts to the datetime project instead, as it looks like it has more chance of actually producing useful things. I think it's very likely that the Reefknot stuff will re-emerge at some later date with datetime stuff doing most of the actual heavly lifting.
