Gregor J. Rothfuss writes "There will be a second Open Source CMS conference this fall in Berkeley. We will feature presentations and workshops from a wide range of CMS, and would definitely welcome some Perl-fu in there as well. Also of interest, our efforts to build bridges across CMS. Participate in our mailing list, or better yet, show up :)" The first Open Source CMS conference was held in Zurich this past March.

Hopefully there will be a strong presense from the perl community there.

That seems unlikely unfortunately. It looks as if it's mostly PHP and Python. The possible exceptions -- but I'm not even sure anymore -- are the Red Hat CMS and Wyona. Perl CMS's like XIMS and Bricolage aren't there, which is a pity.

I might be able to make it for some of the conference, since it's right across the bridge from me, but not much of it. I'll be in last stages of my current contract, then, getting a major publishing company running its sites on Bricolage. Anyone want to suggest which sessions might be best for me to catch? I was thinking of some of the WebDAV stuff, since it'd be cool to eventually add DAV support to Bricolage.

For those who just might be interested in hearing more about Bricolage itself and seeing a demo, I'll be giving a talk at the second Mason Users Bay Area meeting on Monday, September 9 at 7:00. See the announcement for details.
