We are still only just about halfways to getting all the money for the year to pay our three employees. If your taxes weren't as bad as you had feared please send a bit more money. $50 will make a difference. If you also can get your employer to send $2000 it'll make an even bigger difference. Remind them how much money they are not paying in software fees for Perl.

I just sent a few hundred dollars more and for the rest of the year I'll send at least an extra $100 every month we get $10000 added to the fund. Make me pay. :-)"

As noted in the PerlMonks discussion, one should be wary of calling them "employees." They are actually grant recipients.

The taxing authorities may take umbrage should they be given cause to suspect otherwise.

And with that I'm off to experience the incomperable satisfaction of donating (tax free!) some (more) of my earnings to those whose hard work and dedication to their craft enabled me earn it ...
