So is registration for YAPC::Europe!

I'd like to take this opportunity to plug YAPC::Europe, especially (but not only) for those who live in Europe. It'll take place from the 18th to the 20th of September in Munich, Germany.

The Oktoberfest, a big festival involving lots of beer, starts right after the conference and hotel rooms are going away like hot cakes, so it's best if you book a hotel room as soon as you know you want to come.

London.pm managed to stay all in one hotel, thanks to the cat-herding efforts of Greg McCarroll; if you want to join us, then join the London.pm mailing list and/or email Greg.

Or just go directly via CSM, the hotel agency that is being used for YAPC::Europe this year; on their registration web page (also linked via the accommodation page), say that you want to stay in the "Hotel Mercure München Altstadt".

You may wish to share a room as prices in that hotel are a bit more expensive (we got quoted EUR 173 for a double room and EUR 160 for a single IIRC, with those prices going up if you're staying after Saturday -- though I don't know how long those will stay valid; they may well go up as the date approaches), but you can be in the same place as lots of other mongers!

Last year in Amsterdam, many participants stayed in the same hotel and that was widely considered a Good Thing. If you need a roomie, perhaps the London.pm mailing list can help (assuming they're not sick of the word "hotel" by now ;)
