Dan writes "As everyone probably knows by now, my Perl Foundation grant's been funded for three months. As part of that grant, I'm doing some fundraising to fully fund Damian, Larry, and I.
For that, I need contacts. If you work for a company that uses perl, host at a hosting service that provides perl, or generally know of some firm that uses perl a lot, please let me know at dan@sidhe.org. I need CIO/CTO/IT Director/Manager's names, phone numbers, snail-mail addresses, and e-mail addresses. If I can use your name as a means to get in the door, let me know that too.
And yes, phone numbers are more important than e-mail addresses, though I'll take whatever you have."
Q What about insert perl foundation name here
A He doesn't have the time to do it properly.
Q But this isn't what I donated for!
A I'm not wildly enthusiastic about it either, though I certainly don't mind. But at the moment there just isn't enough in the pot to fund for a full year. The only way to get enough is to get corporate donations, and that takes significant time and effort. Think of it this way--it's a way to leverage your donation.
