use Perl will be offline tonight, around 9 p.m. eastern for as long as it takes to upgrade the site to Fry, the current development version of Slash, which is the same code currently running on Slashdot. It will be released any day now as 2.1.0, the first development release for 2.2.0. use Perl is currently running Slash 2.0.0.
Update: 10/02 02:22 GMT by P : OK, it is all set. Please tell me any problems you have with the site, so I can fix them.
Additional features will include the Message plugin (so you can get messages sent to you when friends update journals or when someone replies to your comment) and enhanced comments (creating your own discussions more easily, and attaching comments to journals), as well as general bugfixes and cleanup of a lot of code.

Yeah, and you can see if there have been comments, and they are specific to each entry, etc. Nifty stuff.
