Mark-Jason Dominus writes in that the program committee for The Perl Conference 5 has accepted his proposal to have Lightning Talks at the conference this summer, in San Diego. There will be 16 five-minute talks in a 90-minute time slot, with a five-minute break in the middle.
To propose a lightning talk, send your name, the talk title, and an abstract of no more than four sentences to mjd-tpc-lightning+@plover.com. The submission deadline is midnight of Sunday, July 8, 2001. Dominus will announce the selections and notify the submitters by July 15, 2001.
