krow writes "Tim Maher just sent the following notice to the SPUG mailing list from Carlie Fairlchild at Linux Journal:

. . . please pass the word on that we'll offer any Perl Journal (ex?)subscriber a free 6 month subscription to Linux Journal. All they have to do is email khris@ssc.com before the end of January and I'll take care of them from there. We have the great 'At the Forge' monthly series by Reuven Lerner featuring Perl and I'm certain we can make sure Linux Journal sees an extra Perl article or two within their subscription time.

So looks like we have a use for those TPJ subscriptions after all."

I already subscribe to both

Maybe I should get a six-month for my cat.

This doesn't mean TPJ is dead

I've seen this come up on #perl a few times. TLJ is just being opportunistic--they can get some more subscribers by doing this. When something really happens to TPJ, Jon will tell us. Until then, it's still in limbo. No change.

Yep. But it doesn't mean people can't get some free issues of LJ. :-)

I wouldn't be too sure about that either; I emailed these guys last week, but still no response.
