Kevin Lenzo sent out an update on what is happening with Yet Another Society. He notes that there is no charter yet, though an initial draft is in the works. There is also the matter of procedural issues and how to go about them, with one proposed implementation online.
He also notes that yapc::Europe is filled to capacity, and that for next year's yapc::America::North, they are still looking for proposals for hosting (so far they have Washington, DC and Montreal, Quebec), with a tentative deadline of September 1 for these proposals.
