Kevin Lenzo tells us that there is an official IRC server for yapc 19100, irc.rhizomatic.net. Join #yapc, or one of the channels devoted to the various rooms that talks are going to be in: #rangos1, #rangos2, #rangos3, and #mcconomy (and, of course, #perl). Some of us will be logging into the server remotely while on the road Tuesday. Wireless is good.
Also, use Perl has a section devoted to yapc, where the various talks, tutorials, and events can be discussed.
Check-in is Tuesday night 1600 to 2200, or Wednesday morning. Breakfast is available each morning between 0700 and 0830. Linens are provided in the dorms, but there is no air conditioning. You may rent a fan for $4, and request a minifridge.
Parking may be a problem. There are 50 spots reserved for "YAPC Lenzo" in the East parking garage, for $5.50 a day. The other option is to go about 1/8 mile up Forbes Ave. where parking is free.
A short opening will be at 0830 Wednesday, the day of most of the tutorials. A reception will be following the tutorials, complete with Kevin's Mom's cookies. The paintball event has been rescheduled for Friday evening, not Saturday, since many people are not going to be around on Saturday. After the conference, there's a beer festival at the Sharp Edge, a high-end pub with about 50 taps, many of them Belgian. There have been some other minor changes to the schedule, too.
