Randy Cosby writes Perl 101 is a 5-part series for beginning Perl users. Starting with the basic "Hello World" and continuing on through server-side perl and dbi.

Except of course that there are presently only two parts - but based on those two they are going to need to raise the intensity a lot if they are going to cover enough ground to have the reader doing useful stuff with DBI by the end of the fifth

Possibly a better introductory tutorial IMO is that of Nik Silver which has been widely recommended in comp.lang.perl.misc in the past and never seriously criticized although it probably is getting a little old now.

Yet another tutorial

One that I like is Robert's Perl Tutorial. It falls more toward the chatty end of the spectrum, but I've always been a sucker for local color (colour?) in a beginner-oriented tutorial.

UK Leaders in *good* Perl tutorials

Is it any coincidence that all three of the Tutorials posted so far have been from the UK ?
