Perl Drives U.S. Census Gathering

For the first time, the U.S. Census Bureau is using the Internet to collect forms for the census.

Lisa Nyman <lnyman@census.gov> of the U.S. Census Bureau wrote in a note to the Perl advocacy list that "The Census 2000 Internet Form is a great example of a government agency implementing essential (Constitutional even) operations with perl."
