yapc (Yet Another Perl Conference) is gearing up again this year, and Kevin Lenzo has posted the Call for Participation. Bottom line: the 200-300-word abstract is due in ASCII or HTML by April 3, 2000 for the June 21-23 conference.
yapc 19100 wiil be held again at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. The price for this low-cost, high-quality affair is set at $75 for the entire conference (not including housing), and is limited to 500 attendees (twice the previous, inaugural, year). This year's conference will feature a special Lightning Talks (a series of consecutive five-minute talks), a Paintball Olympiad, and contributions from Larry Wall, Abigail, Damian Conway, Mark-Jason Dominus, Joseph Hall, purl, Randal Schwartz, and more.
