VA Linux has unveiled hosting for Open Source projects, with free access for developers to CVS, mailing list, mysql, web server, FTP, ssh, bug tracking, and web-based surveys and forums. SourceForge is open to all Open Source projects. Each project can be assigned an available Open Source license, or developers can request that others licenses be considered, on a case-by-case basis.
Over 700 projects are already registered on the site, including Topaz, Chip Salzenberg's implementation of perl in C++.
